The two upcoming games by Game Freak will also be getting official strategy guides
Pokemon Sun and Moon have got a lot of news released about them so far, starting with the Pokemon we’ll be heading out with on our journeys of exploration to the multiple islands of the Alola region. We’ve decided to put together whatever we have found out about the two games in one place, so that all Pokemon Trainers know and share the same information.
The three starters we’ll be getting to choose from would be Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Rowlet is a Grass/Flying-Type, Litten is a Fire-Type, and Popplio is a Water-Type Pokemon. Since we don’t know at this point who the Gym Leaders will be for the new region, we can’t say which Pokemon you should choose as your starter. If you’re going to go for cuteness, we would certainly advise you to choose Rowlet because of its green bowtie, that has somehow won our hearts over.
The new region we’ll be getting to explore is called Alola. The Alola region will have multiple islands, which means we would need to travel a lot from one island to the other. We believe these new islands will be having different Pokemon to capture, along with Gym Leaders to beat. It would be great to see each island decorated in a completely different way, just like how cities are decorated in all the other Pokemon mainstream games.
Players will have the option to customize their main characters, just like Pokemon X and Y had. Although there hasn’t been much revealed in the trailers regarding this, you can choose from a default set of eight characters -- four boys and four girls -- from whom you would want to make your main character.
Pokemon battles have certainly changed. This time, unlike any other Pokemon game you have played before, Pokemon battles will be spectated by people standing near you. When a battle starts, you’ll be able to see people standing around you looking at the two Pokemon going at it.
Both the games will be getting official strategy guides released for them. The standard edition would cost $24.99, whereas the collector’s edition will go for $39.99. The 350-page manual will include a walkthrough, items location, wild Pokemon location, moves description, and a way on how to get the most out of the games’ communication features. The collector’s edition will also contain a bonus DLC, which none of us knows what it is yet. You can pre-order them now and get them with the games’ release in mid-November.
Like we said earlier, we don’t have any clue as to who the Gym Leaders will be for the Alola region, so we also can’t predict the names of the eight badges. The Elite Four are also people who we know absolutely nothing about at the moment, and so we are waiting for The Pokemon Company to tell us. It was also said that Pokemon Sun and Moon would be getting vehicles to explore the region, but we haven’t gotten to see anything of that sort yet.
The Pokemon Company is said to announce more on the two games on June 2. CoroCoro magazine, on the other hand, is said to include an “exclusive scoop” on Pokemon Sun and Moon in its June issue. Stay tuned for more news on your favorite little critters. Loading ad
