Is Tom Clancy's 'The Division' Nearing Its End? Constant Server Shut Down Seems To Prove It

During the Tom Clancy's The Division State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive admitted that the game is currently in a broken state.
When Ubisoft first released Tom Clancy's The Division, it instantly became a worldwide hit. It was even deemed as one of the greatest titles of all time, as its player pool increased day by day. Unfortunately, after a series of bugs and glitches, it gradually became a frustration for most fans. Weeks after weeks, the game's official servers were shut down for maintenance. And although the studio has been very keen in pacifying the issues, it wasn't just enough. With such mishap, is it safe to say that the once great title is now not worth playing? Or perhaps the right question would be: is it nearing its end?

Just recently, a Tom Clancy's The Division event called State of the Game took place. It was meant to discuss, well, the current state of the game. Here, fans will get to learn anything related to the title -- from an ongoing feature to any possible bug fixes, among others.

However, much to the surprise of many Tom Clancy's The Division fans, the occasion was all about Ubisoft Massive admitting the broken state of the game. That, in one way or another, it is relatively overwhelmed with several bugs and errors, as reported by Tech News Today. Add to that, they currently have no profound solution to offer.

Sure, the studio -- as what they always do -- promises to work on making Tom Clancy's The Division less exhilarating; however, it's no late night news that it'll take the devs a good amount of time to fix everything. After all, the title, believe it or not, is just greatly exploited by bugs and glitches.

Screen Rant, on the other hand, noted that Tom Clancy's The Division is a game that can be easily forgotten. Apart from the ongoing issues it is experiencing, it lacks the value of having sufficient endgame content. Moreover, as what fans continuously say, the game's PvP mode is just plain boring. Well, let alone the repetitive routine it offers.

It is safe to say that the future of Tom Clancy's The Division is murky. It can go down as one of the biggest failures in the history of gaming. That even a great title like it was, as long as it's plagued by issues and bugs, it can fall hard to the ground.

The Division Update: What To Expect In May 2016

When Tom Clancy’s The Division launched in March, it was off to a shaky start. There were a few issues here and there, but players still flocked the game and received it well. Things started taking a turn for the worse when The Division update came in April. Despite being free, the April content update was a bit of a failure. Slowly, more and more players began exploiting the game, while those who chose to play fair was at a disadvantage.

The new Incursion mode did not help too as players began exploiting it as well. Ubisoft and the players are currently in a tight battle of discovering and fixing errors in the game, and with another free content update looming, can Ubisoft redeem itself with the Conflict update after this month’s long list of errors? Here’s what you can expect in The Division update next month.

New Incursion

Incursions are off to a rough start with Falcon Lost. Aside from being repetitive, the mode just really didn’t sit well with players as the rewards are low. Next month, Ubisoft will introduce a new Incursion set at the iconic Columbus Circle. Ubisoft has yet to detail the features coming in with the new Incursion, but we’re hoping they’ll make it more exciting. Hopefully, they’ll provide us with better rewards and more exciting gameplay.

New Dark Zone Features

Next month’s free content update is called Conflict. Ubisoft has yet to reveal what Conflict means, but it could be possible that the term refers to a new feature being added into the Dark Zone. There are a lot of features missing in the Dark Zone including proper PVP modes. We’re hoping that Ubisoft is planning to take actions in providing players with a better PVP experience as The Division functions similarly to an MMORPG.
