More Talents and Weapons are making their way into The Division with the Underground expansion
When Ubisoft took The Division to the stage during the E3 conference, everyone had an idea as to what could be coming. The developers officially unveiled The Division’s first expansion, Underground.

That wasn’t all. Later the same day, the developers were back with their Special Ops presentation, which focused on three Tom Clancy titles, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege, and Ghost Recon Wildlands. During which more details regarding the expansion were disclosed. But that wasn’t all: a few well-known The Division personalities like the YouTuber, and Arekkz, got to play the expansion before anyone else.
Arekkz, on his YouTube Channel, released a video showcasing all the brand new weapons he came across in the game. However, keep in mind that these are only some of the weapons being added, and not all of them, as Ubisoft has announced that a lot of brand-new weapons are going to be added to the game with the Underground expansion.
So let’s start with the weapons we already know about. Back when update 1.2 was going live, the developers released a statement that the named AA-12 Shotgun will be added to the game, but will now accessible till the 1.3 update. Hence, this much is confirmed, that the AA-12 will be obtainable after the Underground update goes live.
Now for the upcoming weapons. The first is a Marksmen Rifle called the Paratrooper SVD. The weapon available at the vendor located in the Underground Operations Base. The Sniper has a bonus stat of increased headshot damage, which will vary when you buy the weapon. Furthermore, the SVD has a low magazine count, but it compensates for that when it comes to damage, as a single bullet can deal damages of up to 25K.
The second weapons are the PP-19, which in some countries is called the Bizon. The PP-19 Arekkz, got hold of in the game was the enhanced variant, this means that just like the previous weapons, different variants will be available for all upcoming weapons.
Next is the G36 assault rifle, which is one of the world’s most known weapons. The Military variant of the rifle is said to have a standard magazine that means around 30 bullets, and an average damage of 10K. Arekkz further mentions another Marksmen Rifle called the M700 Carbon, which was being used by one of his squad members. However, apart from its single fire bolt action, not much is known.
Now for the most interesting bit, Arekkz got his hands on a weapon which looks to be a part of one of the upcoming Gear Sets. However, equipping the weapon will not count as a set-piece item equipped. As we all know, one of the upcoming Gear Sets is the B.L.I.N.D set, which helps in blinding NPCs with its flashbang talent.
The B.L.I.N.D System Battle Rifle uses one of its all-new talents, which inflicts more damage on enemies that are either blind or dazed. The new talent called Distracted, increases your damage by 100%, against blind and deaf targets. We speculate that maybe weapons for the FireCrest Gear set will also be available, which increase damage on enemies on fire. However, currently no news regarding this has been confirmed.
Now that we are on the topic of upcoming weapon talents, Arekkz has pointed out two new talents that he has come across in the game. The first new talent is called Decisive, and is perfect for sniping. The talent grants players an automatic critical hit after they kill an enemy. The second talent, Focused, increases your damage by 12.5%, if all your skills are active. This means that if you have any skill in cooldown, this talent will not be activated.
Just like the weapons, the above-mentioned talents are just two of the many upcoming ones to be added into the game with the Underground expansion. The first expansion has been confirmed to go live on June 28, for PC and Xbox One, while PlayStation 4 users will get to see the update a month later, on August 2.
